Meet Dr. Nelson

“The human body is amazingly adaptive,” says Dr. William Nelson. Chiropractic utilizes the body’s natural abilities “allowing the body to achieve an optimal state of health as well as reduced pain”.
Dr. Nelson first experienced the benefits of chiropractic as an injured, young college athlete. After trying various conventional methods, he visited a doctor of chiropractic and experienced improvements in a matter of weeks. “After seeing the amazing results that could be achieved naturally,” says Dr. Nelson, “I wanted to help others experience the same type of improvements in their own lives.”
This drive to improve the lives of others led Dr. Nelson to become a doctor of chiropractic. He graduated chiropractic school at Logan College of Chiropractic in 2000 and later went on to become certified in manipulation under anesthesia and
chiropractic sports medicine. He has successfully treated thousands of patients for the last 11 years.
As a certified chiropractic sports medicine specialist, Dr. Nelson is experienced and gifted in working with athletes, particularly in strength sports and weight lifting. Given his personal history as an athlete, he understands athletes’ desire to be best in competition. He finds it rewarding to channel athletes’ dedication into helping them improve efficiently.
Even for patients who aren’t athletes, Dr. Nelson describes, “I have had many patients that were no longer able to exercise due to pain be able to get back to being able to exercise again after being treated.” He’s seen golfers get back to golfing and grandparents better able to play with their grandchildren after receiving his treatment. He has been successful in treating conditions like fibromyalgia, sciatica, migraine, headache, back pain, neck pain, whiplash and auto injuries.
Dr. Nelson provides patients with dynamic, customized care. He utilizes various chiropractic modalities including chiropractic adjustments, physiotherapy, massage therapy, and cold laser therapy. The Natural Living Center has a multidisciplinary team that includes chiropractic, naturopathic medicine, nutrition, hormonal, acupuncture, massage, and skin-care therapies. “With a multidisciplinary practice we can treat the patient as a whole,” says Dr. Nelson. “We can work together so the patient receives the best chance for full recovery all under one roof.”
Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with his wife Jennifer and children Charlotte and Jonah. He has continued his passion for athletics as a biker, competitive power lifter,
and an outdoor enthusiast. As a minister in his church, he is also an active community member.
Dr. Nelson’s passion for chiropractic derives from the rewarding experience of “helping those people that have tried everything else finally get their quality of life back”.
